  • Hon. Chairidee Smith, Ms. Mogul®

    FOUNDER, CHAIRWOMAN OF THE BOARD

    Founder of the Create Your Own Economy Movement®, The Global Mogul Center for Leadership® and The Global Mogul Trade Mission®, The Hon. Chairidee Smith, also known as Ms. Mogul® is an international business development leader. She has spent the last decade of her career building political, financial, and philanthropic relationships in Africa, specifically Ghana, Ethiopia, and recently, Nigeria and the UK, securing opportunities for US-based minority and women-owned businesses to access leverage in emerging markets. Ms. Smith has also garnered the support of leading African heads of State with the African Union and with royal families.

    She is a leadership speaker featured in over 30 countries and is now the creator of the Mogul® app, a global hub for US businesses to build global brands, leveraging this technology. In 2022, Ms. Mogul® re-launched ROAR!® Global, featured in 4 continents specifically in Ghana, Botswana, the UK, the USA, and in Latin America entitled, “10X Your Business Through Strategic Collaborations: Building Global Bridges”. This summit highlighted economic and business opportunities amidst Africa’s free trade environment and in the Diaspora.

    Ms. Smith is a trusted business strategist, real estate investor/CEO, global business mentor, and forward-thought leader. A successful, serial entrepreneur for more than two decades, Ms. Mogul® firmly believes in the power of entrepreneurialism as the way to address lifestyle disparities, close the achievement gaps and wage gaps, removing “glass ceilings” to success.

    Focus: Sustainable energy development and Feasibility

    Bio:

    Prof. Oyewole is the Chief Executive Officer of Primegrid Renewable Energy, Incorporated and its subsidiaries around the world. Primegrid Renewable Energy is a leading global renewable energy infrastructure provider and a power efficiency management company headquartered in the Woodlands, Texas.

    Prof. Oyewole is a visionary leader tasked with overall responsibility for the company's global operations. He has almost 25 years of leadership experience in academia, government, and the energy industry.

    He has managed several energy projects and infrastructure developments. He has worked with multiple organizations to provide innovative solutions across North America and the world. He has overseen feasibility studies, impact assessments, and business models for renewable energy installations, retrofits, and upgrade projects in the public and private sectors. His extensive experience in the energy and environmental sectors has improved the quality of services for many organizations and led to considerable savings in capital and operational costs.

    Responsible for the development, integration, implementation and management of flight controller, instructor and astronaut training for the International Space Station.

    Chair of the International Training Control Board (ITCB). The objective of the ITCB is to provide control, coordination and management across International Space Station (ISS) Partners for astronauts (U.S., Japan, Canada, Europe)/cosmonauts (Russia), ground support personnel, and ground processing personnel training. The objective of the ITCB is to provide control, coordination and management across International Space Station (ISS) Partners for astronauts (U.S., Japan, Canada, Europe)/cosmonauts (Russia), ground support personnel, and ground processing personnel training. The ITCB oversees development and implementation of multilateral training management processes, schedules, concepts, standards, requirements, courseware, facilities, and operations. It is an ISS Program charter board and consists of members from each International Partner (CSA, ESA JAXA, Energia, GCTC).

    Mechanical Engineering Intern | ASML | San Diego, CA

    Successfully developed a $30k prototype in less than 3 months . Developed a process that substantially improved the quality of the company product. Pushed prototyped device into a funded project that will potentially save $5M/year .

    Electronic Product Design Intern | Boeing Defense | El Segundo, CA

    Performed mechanical reviews of commercial satellite components. Initiated the design of a custom thermal-vacuum test device. Performed electronic schematic reviews for manufacturing release.

    Payload Structural Lead | NASA RockOn | Wallops Island, VA

    Led a team of four in the build of a low atmospheric orbit payload for radiation detection. Co-lead of technical trainings for students (see article on university website)

    Data Analysis Co-Op | NASA Goddard Space Flight Center | Greenbelt, MD

    Created computer programs that organized mission data from the Planetary Data System. Automated processes for quantifying & visualizing chemical species in the lunar exosphere.

    Humanoid Robotics Researcher | U.C. – Berkeley | Berkeley, CA

    Designed & 3D printed modular lower arm for a humanoid robot with 3 features. Initiated a preliminary hand design with a pulley-motor drive mechanism.

    Sandra leads the DEEsGlobal Trade Association (DGTA) to help trade flow as freely as possible and create opportunities for private businesses and participating cities to connect globally with their international counterparts.

    GMC HOUSING TRADE MISSION COMMITTEE

    Focus: Residential Real Estate Development and Community Development

    Bio:

    Education: MS - Mathematics from University of Chicago

    Bonita Harrison the CEO of Sunshine Management and owner of KBM Realty. She and her team developed more than 600 units on the South Side of Chicago, creating more than 2,000 jobs, contributing $150M to Black Wealth, and $1.5M in annual tax revenue. Not only is she 2018 Developer of the Year but also spearheaded the “Buy Back The Block” campaign in Woodlawn. She is committed to revitalizing distressed, outdated and underperforming properties in communities of color.
